Nexia S&A is assisting TopSolid in conducting its 2025 greenhouse gas (GHG) assessment (France scope).
A leading software publisher, TopSolid is a major industrial player with a total of 420 employees, over 300 of whom are in France across 6 branches. A global leader in on-premise CAD, CAM, PDM, ERP, VR, SDM, and simulation software solutions, the company is deeply rooted in the mechanical engineering (machines, tools, etc.), sheet metal/boilermaking, and woodworking industries, and is experiencing sustained international growth.
A more robust and transparent GHG assessment
The company had previously conducted a greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions assessment, but for 2025, it sought a more robust and transparent GHG assessment for its French operations, based on a clearly articulated methodology. As part of this continuous improvement initiative, TopSolid chose to partner with Nexia S&A due to its expertise in climate issues, encompassing both climate change mitigation and adaptation, and its significant experience in the digital sector. Their expectations also included consolidating the quality of their GHG assessment and identifying actionable levers to enhance its reliability. Our team therefore provided comprehensive technical support, covering both the completion of the GHG assessment and the optimization of internal data collection, organization, and traceability processes, all with a view to transparency and increasing carbon maturity.
The applied methodology, which is intentionally transparent, is based on explicitly documented assumptions and communicated emission factors, enabling TopSolid to understand its results and compare them year-on-year.
Advancing carbon maturity
Thanks to our clear methodology, regular exchanges, and ability to simplify complex issues, TopSolid was able not only to precisely understand the origin of its emissions but also to take ownership of the results and use them to guide its CSR strategy. Nexia S&A's support over several weeks also resulted in a more reliable, better-structured, and more comprehensive GHG assessment, thanks to step-by-step data collection and rigorous analysis that covered the most relevant items. The conclusions were presented in a concise and structured format to ensure clarity for stakeholders and to strengthen investor confidence in the robustness and reliability of the approach taken. This approach, founded on rigorous methodology, climate expertise, and human support, reinforced TopSolid's confidence in the quality of the figures produced and their consistency with the company's operational reality.
“We needed a more robust and actionable GHG assessment.
