Nexia S&A continues its growth trajectory with the opening of a Lyon office following its combination with Maxime Mazuy and his team. This transaction is part of the firm’s development strategy and marks a new milestone with the nationwide rollout of its restructuring practice, as well as the strengthening of its transaction services activities in the Auvergne–Rhône-Alpes region.
Nexia S&A annouces a strategic combination with a firm founded and led by Maxime Mazuy, based in Lyon, which advises SMEs and mid-sized companies on financial restructuring as well as transaction services assignments.
After spending around ten years within leading consulting firms, including Big Four firms and Eight Advisory, Maxime Mazuy created and developed a business that is now firmly established in the market. The firm generates more than €1 million in revenue and relies on a team of seven professionals. Its activities primarily serve clients based in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, as well as in Paris and Marseille.
The transaction takes the form of an entrepreneurial integration: the business joins Nexia S&A, and Maxime Mazuy becomes a Partner of the firm. His objective is to lead and sustainably develop a restructuring practice within Nexia S&A, while continuing to expand Transaction Services activities in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
A new milestone in Nexia S&A’s growth strategy
This combination is part of Nexia S&A’s development strategy, aimed at offering a comprehensive range of services to executives, finance departments, and the broader financial ecosystem. As a recognized audit, accounting, and advisory group, Nexia S&A is strengthening its ability to support companies facing periods of financial stress and difficulty.

Strengthening the Restructuring offering at a national level
Through this combination, Nexia S&A is developing a nationwide Restructuring offering, responding to strong demand from companies, financial institutions, and court-appointed administrators. Led by Maxime Mazuy, this practice primarily serves SMEs and mid-sized companies facing financial or organizational challenges. The approach emphasizes early anticipation and notably relies on Independent Business Reviews (IBRs), providing an independent assessment of organizations’ financial situations and future prospects.
A strategic presence in Lyon
The integration of both restructuring and transaction services activities also enables Nexia S&A to establish a presence in Lyon, at the heart of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, France’s second-largest economic hub. This location aims to strengthen the firm’s proximity to regional economic stakeholders, while reinforcing its national positioning.
At the same time, the transaction strengthens Nexia S&A’s Transaction Services offering in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, consolidating the firm’s presence in this practice by leveraging synergies between the Lyon-based teams and Nexia S&A’s existing teams.
